I have started to focus on coastal scenes more recently, drawn to where moving water meets seemingly immovable objects. Trying to get that sense of energy, changing colours, depth, reflections and weather is the challenge.

A return to a medium that I haven't used for a while and very different to oil, looking forward to getting to grips with a new medium.

A pretty abstract image. Quite a challenge to get the movement of the sea before it hits the beach.

A sunset that took all of ten minutes to sink beyond the horizon but produced a terrific colour display before it went. I like to remember these moments when the British summer isn't being particularly summery!
